Domains & DNS
Configure custom sender domains with DKIM cryptographic signing, SPF authorization, and two-way inbound MX records.
Sending email from your own custom domain ensures maximum inbox placement, preserves your sender reputation, and prevents your emails from landing in spam folders.
1. Add Your Domain
Go to your Multivrs dashboard, select your project, navigate to Emails > Domains, and click Add Domain. Alternatively, you can add domains using the SDK:
import { MultivrsMail } from "@multivrs/mail";
const mail = new MultivrsMail();
const domain = await mail.domains.create({
name: "mail.yourcompany.com",
});
console.log("Domain registered with ID:", domain.id);2. Configure DNS Records
Multivrs Mail automatically generates the required DNS records for your domain provider (Cloudflare, Route 53, Namecheap, Vercel, etc.):
- DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail): Three CNAME records for 2048-bit asymmetric cryptographic signing. Multivrs rotates these keys automatically with zero downtime.
- SPF (Sender Policy Framework): TXT record authorizing Multivrs servers to send email on behalf of your domain: v=spf1 include:amazonses.com include:multivrs.space ~all.
- DMARC Policy: TXT record at _dmarc.yourdomain.com declaring policy enforcement: v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:dmarc@yourdomain.com.
- Inbound MX Routing: MX record pointing to feedback-smtp.us-east-1.amazonses.com (priority 10) to enable receiving replies directly into your Multivrs mailboxes.
3. Verify DNS Records
After adding records in your DNS dashboard, click Verify Domain in the Multivrs Mail dashboard, or call the verify API:
const status = await mail.domains.verify(domain.id);
console.log("Verification status:", status.status); // 'verified' | 'pending'If you register or manage domains through the Multivrs Domain Marketplace, all SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MX records are wired up automatically with zero manual DNS copying.
